Teachers > Eleanor Vandergaag - 3 year old class - Assistant Teacher
Eleanor Vandergaag is the Assistant Teacher for our three year old classes. She is a fully certified Early Childhood Educator. She came to Queen’s Park Preschool in 2004 as a substitute teacher for both the three and four year old classes, then as a support teacher as well. Her previous experience included over 20 years of teaching at a preschool in Squamish. There she co-taught a variety of classes for three and four year olds as well as parent and toddler classes.
Eleanor believes in a play-based preschool philosophy and she sees the positive effects that parent participation can make in the lives of children. She looks forward to working with the preschool families.
Eleanor lives in New Westminster with her husband. She has one adult son and a daughter-in-law, as well as a wonderful granddaughter. In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys sailing, dragonboating and sewing..
